Welcome Sheri Kromrey, Project Manager!

At LinguaLinx, words and languages are our business and our passion. Our success depends having a team of great people behind our work! We’d like to show you a little bit of who we are. With that, join us in welcoming Sheri Kromrey to the team as our newest Project Manager! Sheri joined our team in February 2017. She brings years of project management experience with language services providers. We sat down with Sheri during her first few months on the job to talk with her about her new role and what she is most looking forward to!

Welcome to our team! Let’s start with: “Why LinguaLinx?”

I had industry experience and wanted to stay in the field, learn new skills and have a better work/life balance.

What skills from your previous project management roles will help you out with this new role?

I have experience working with everyone from the client to internal supporting teams and believe that will help me have a better understanding of the challenges and needs my colleagues will have. I also have had to manage multiple projects at once which will help me manage my time and workload.

What excites you most about coming to work here?

I am really excited about the work culture and how the company strives to make a remote work force feel really connected to the corporate office.

Where did you attend school and what was your major?

The University of Minnesota – Duluth,  with a major in Business Administration.

You’ll be based in Wisconsin. What brought you to that area?

I’m originally from Minnesota and after graduating I moved to the Twin Cities in search of job opportunities. After starting my family, we moved to Wisconsin to be closer to family while remaining in a good job market.

What do you like most about Wisconsin?

I love the seasons and outdoor activities that come along with them. I’m not a big fan of winter, but couldn’t image living anywhere without snow during the holiday season.

Do you speak multiple languages?

I took two years of French in high school and remember very little of it!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love to travel, camp, read, bake and spend time with friends and family.

Tell us one random fact about you.

I’m a Pinterest nerd –  I enjoy the challenge of making something I need on a budget!

What is your favorite place you’ve visited and why?

My recent trip to Punta Cana. It was the first beach vacation I have taken with my kids. It was great watching them experience a new culture while enjoying a relaxing week away from the routine.
