LinguaLinx Establishes Scholarship with the University at Albany

Albany, NY – December 18, 2007 – LinguaLinx Language Solutions, Inc. announces the establishment of the LinguaLinx Study Abroad Scholarship with the University at Albany’s Office of Study Abroad and Exchanges. Two of the first three scholarship awards of $2,000 each have been disbursed for the Spring ’08 semester for programs in Madrid, Spain and Kansai Gaidai, Japan. The scholarship was established make study abroad possible for students who show an interest in continuing the study of languages and otherwise excel academically, but are financially-disadvantaged or would not qualify for the additional financial aid required to fund the program fees for a semester abroad. www.albanystudyabroad.com

LinguaLinx founder and President David Smith stated “without having lived abroad, my continued interest in language, culture and international communication may not have been cultivated to the extent that it is today.” Unable to afford international study on his own during high school and college, Smith went on to say that he hopes this assistance will help foster in the recipients the same passion with languages.
